North Carolina Law requires political committees to
report the name, mailing address, job title or profession
and name of employer or employer’s specific field
for each individual whose contributions aggregate is
in excess of $50 in an election. All contributions from
out of state residents must be reported.
Contributions from corporations and foreign nationals
are not permitted. Contributions are not deductible
as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.
Registered lobbyists in the state of North Carolina
are prohibited from making a personal contribution to
state candidates under the new ethics law.
