Welcome! I hope that you
will find this website to be informative –
both in terms
of my background and my public polic y views.
It is my personal belief that America was created for a purpose.
If you think back to all of the obstacles that our Founders
faced in gaining their independence from the English Crown,
there is no doubt that they were inspired by a belief that was
greater than themselves. The words written in the Declaration
of Independence, particularly this last sentence, are telling:
“….And for the support of this Declaration, with
a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually
pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred
Honor.”
Some of those patriots did lose their lives and many lost their
fortunes; their courage changed the future of the world. All
of their writings argue the necessity of a limited government
and a moral citizenry in order to preserve individual liberties
and promote progress and prosperity.
I am convinced that as a society we need to return to the moral
and spiritual principles that enabled our Founders to have such
courage, and we need to return to a much more limited government
that rewards hard work and ingenuity and focuses on those areas
where it is uniquely suited.
This is the philosophy on which all of my public policy positions
are based. And if you provide me the honor and opportunity to
represent you in the NC Senate, I make these three promises:
1) I will always listen, 2) I will always make my decisions
based on principle, and 3) I will always do what I think is
in the best interest of the people of Wayne County and Johnston
County. Join us today as we build this campaign.
May God bless you and may God bless this great state.
Best regards,
 |
